Magdalena Reynosa

Magdalena Tenorio Reynosa, 89 of Pintada , NM, passed away surrounded by her loved ones on Tuesday, May 03, 2022 in Rio Rancho. Magdalena was born on September 10, 1932 in Pintada, New Mexico to Antonia Padilla de Tenorio and Santiago Tenorio. Magdalena was raised in Pintada, then moved to Clovis, NM and stayed with her Tia Rita Sena, to attend high school. She then went to work as a seamstress at a local factory. Hearing that they were paying more for seamstress in California, she moved to San Fernando, California and starting working at a clothing factory. While living in in California she met her husband, Laurence Reynosa, also of San Fernando. They moved to Sylmar, California and raised their five sons: Joseph, Jimmy, Christopher, Charles, and Danny. Magdalena was a life-long Catholic and devoted herself to praying the rosary every night. In addition to her faith, she cherished the time she spent with her sons and tending to her ranch chores at the Tenorio Ranch in Pintada with her family. Magdalena is preceded in death by her parents, Santiago and Antonia, husband, Lawrence Reynosa, brothers, Abran, Orlando, Porfirio, and Santiago Jr. and daughter Lorenza. She is survived by her sister, Odelia Tenorio Hernandez of Pintada and brother Luis Tenorio of Clovis NM. Her sons: Joseph Reynosa of Albuquerque; James Reynosa (Yolanda) of Palmdale, California; Christopher Reynosa (MariAnne) of Rio Rancho; Charles Reynosa (Kellie) of Rio Rancho; and Daniel Reynosa of Sylmar, California. Her grandchildren: Carmel Espinosa (Michael) of Santa Clarita, California; Melissa Reynosa of Albuquerque; James John Reynosa, Christopher Reynosa and Alexandria Reynosa of Palmdale, California. Angel Garcia, and Dixie Reynosa of Rio Rancho. Great grandkids: Helena, Michael, Alana, Isabella, Cali, Franco and Angelo. Visitation for family and friends will be on Friday, May 13, 2022 from 1pm to 4pm at Chavez Funeral Home in Santa Rosa, NM. Rosary will be on Friday, May 13, 2022 at 6pm at Holy Family Mission Church in Pintada, NM. The Funeral Mass will be on Saturday, May 14, 2022 at Holy Family Mission Church in Pintada, NM, with burial to follow at Holy Family Cemetery in Pintada, NM. Pallbearers will be her sons: Joe, Jimmy, Chris, Charles and Danny and Grandsons: JJ, Chris, Franco. Honorary Pallbearers will be: Uncle Louie Tenorio and her granddaughters: Carmel, Melissa, Angel, Helena, Dixie and Alana and her youngest grandson: Michael.
