Mary F. Arias

Mary F. Arias of Tucumcari, NM passed away peacefully at Dr. Dan C. Trigg Memorial Hospital on Thursday, August 27, 2026.

Mary was born March 29, 1962 to Joe and Lou Arias in Tucumcari, NM. She attended school in Tucumcari, graduating from Tucumcari High School and later attended Mesalands Community College.

In her career, Mary worked for Headstart and as non-emergency personnel medical transport. A life-long resident of Tucumcari, Mary was also a parishioner at St. Anne’s Catholic Church. She enjoyed the time she spent with her family, and particularly her grandchildren. Additionally, Mary enjoyed her pets.

Mary is preceded in death by her parents, maternal grandparents; Tito and Catelina Lovato and her paternal grandparents; Seferino and Juanita Arias.

Mary is survived by her spouse; Alex Sandoval, her sons; Jose Marez and Paul (Laura) Marez-both of Albuquerque and her siblings; Ralph (Cece) Arias, David Arias, Robert Arias, Albert (Nancy) Arias—all of Tucumcari, Rachel (Carlos) Arias of Albuquerque, Andy (Cindy) Arias of Portales and Cece Arias and Alex (Rachelle) Arias, also of Tucumcari, five grandchildren and many family and friends.

Urn Bearers are Albert, Ralph, Andy, Alex, Robert and David Arias. Honorary Urn Bearers will include Cece and Rachel Arias.

Funeral arrangements are pending at this time and will be announced when finalized.
