Arrangements for Matilde "Mattie" Marquez, 98 of Windsor, Colorado are pending with Chavez Funeral Home in Santa Rosa. Mattie was born March 25, 1922 in Gascon, NM to the home of Leandro and Gumecinda Martinez. She made her home in Santa Rosa, Greeley, CO, Aurora, CO, and Windsor, CO. Mattie is preceded in death by her parents, and her husband Joe Marquez. Survivors include three children, a daughter Pearl Marquez of Windsor, CO, two sons Lee Marquez of Windsor, CO, and David Marquez of Greeley, CO, two grandchildren Matthew Marquez (Candace), and Cassie Sheley (Jason), five great-grandchildren Evelina, Elivia, and Eilley Marquez, Morgana and Amalia Sheley. Cremation will take place. A memorial will be held at St. Joseph Cemetery in Santa Rosa, NM at a later date. Local arrangements are under the direction of Chavez Funeral Home, 923 S.
