Patsy Gerhardt Romero

Patsy Gerhardt-Romero, 61, of Santa Rosa, NM passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, November 16, 2019. Patsy was born on March 27, 1958 in Santa Rosa to the home of Gilbert Gerhardt and Mary (Alarid) Gerhardt.  She was reared in Santa Rosa where she also attended school.  Patsy married Adolph Romero on October 2, 1994.  She and Adolph loved to go fishing and she enjoyed cruising with her Mom and granddaughter Summer.  Patsy was a loving person who also enjoyed spending time with her best friends Mona and Susie, however, her greatest joy came from the time she spent with her family.  She was a parishioner at Saint Rose of Lima Catholic Church and she also devoted her time to Saint Vincent DePaul Charities where she worked on Tuesdays and Thursdays.  Patsy was a server at Joseph’s Restaurant for 25 years before moving to Annie’s where she was a shift manager for 2 years. Patsy is preceded in death by her father Gilbert Gerhardt. Survivors include her husband of 25 years, Adolph Romero, daughter; Samantha Romero, sons; Joseph Storey and wife Melanie, Jason Storey, and Marka Salas, all of Santa Rosa, step-daughters; Maranda Morales of El Paso, TX, Amanda Patron of Las Vegas, NM, Mother; Mary Gerhardt of Santa Rosa, sisters; Marie Sena of Las Vegas, NM, Shirley Garley of Albuquerque, NM and Jessica Gerhardt of  Santa Rosa, her parents-in-law; Adolfo and Dorothy Romero of Santa Rosa and 14 grandchildren; Lorenzo Garcia, Jason Storey, II, Jarren Storey, Summer Storey, Kayla Moncayo, Shaun Storey, Sylus Storey, Jayden Patron, Daniel Ortiz, Kammiel Patron, Jocelynn Felarca, Alexandrea Morales, Esai Morales and Daelynn Maestas.  She is also survived by her in-laws; Frank and Elena Tenorio, Ernesto Romero, Jessie Romero and Joseph Romero (Rose Fernandez) all of Santa Rosa, and her best friends “The Wanda’s”; Ramona Silva Dodge and Susie Chavez as well as numerous family and friends.  Visitation hours will be Monday, November 18, 2019 from 1-6 PM and Tuesday, November 19, 2019 from 1-4 PM at Chavez Funeral Home in Santa Rosa. Recitation of the Most Holy Rosary will be Tuesday, November 19, 2019 at 6:00 PM at Saint Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Santa Rosa. The Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, November 20, 2019 at 10:30 AM at Saint Rose celebrated by Father Christopher Bernabe.  Burial will follow in the family plot at Saint Joseph Cemetery in Santa Rosa, with Lorenzo Garcia, Jason Storey, II, Jarren Storey, Ryan Tenorio, Marcus Valdez, Branden Valdez, Mike Sena and Shaun Storey serving as Pallbearers.
