Paul Allen (Jay) Hare, Jr., a devoted family man and skilled cook, passed away unexpectedly on June 9, 2026, at Methodist Dallas Medical Center. Born on March 5, 1993, in Tucumcari, New Mexico, Jay was a lifelong resident of his hometown, where he was proudly raised and nurtured.

Jay graduated from San Jon High School and dedicated much of his professional life to his work as a cook at Del's Restaurant. Beyond his career, he was known for his warm and caring nature, especially evident in the time he cherished spending with his children. He found great joy in the hobbies he loved, including tattooing and gaming, passions that spoke to his creative spirit and vibrant personality.

He was a faithful parishioner at St. Anne's Catholic Church, where he was a familiar and respected figure in the community. His faith was an important pillar in his life, guiding him through both joyous and challenging times.

Jay’s family was central to his life and legacy. He is survived by his mother, Patricia Fuentes, who provided steadfast support throughout his life; his maternal grandfather, Tony Fuentes; and his loving fiancée, Jessica French. He will be fondly remembered by his sister, Crystal Hare, and by his children, Jaya Hare and Jayce Hare, who were the light of his life. He also lovingly embraced his step-children, Bobby Crespin, Lily Crespin French, and Noah French, as part of his family.

Other close family members include his uncle Patrick Fuentes and his wife Erica, as well as cousins Megan Fuentes, Sonia Sandoval, Adrianna Sandoval, and Gabby Sandoval. He is also survived by numerous uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends who will all carry forward his memory with affection and respect.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Bessie Fuentes, and his father, Paul Hare, Sr., who remain remembered and honored within the family.

Paul Allen (Jay) Hare, Jr. will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His legacy of kindness, dedication to family, and love for life will continue to inspire those who were fortunate to have shared in his journey. May he rest in peace.
