Phyllis Sue Morgan

Phyllis Sue Morgan was called home to the Lord on Friday, October 10, 2025 at the age of 79, after a long battle with COPD.

Phyllis was born on December 8, 1945 in Sikeston, Missouri and later moved with her family to Conchas, NM. She later graduated from Tucumcari High School.

Phyllis loved spending time with her family, cooking (and man, could she cook!), gardening and especially watching the birds visiting her yard to enjoy her tasty treats. She never met a stranger and was always ready to help anyone in need. To many she was affectionally known as Mom or Nana.

Phyllis is preceded in death by her husband; James C. Morgan, Jr. on January 26, 2025, her parents John and Ruby Gee and sister Donna Jo.

Phyllis is survived by her four children; Kandi (Sam) and Tricia (Chester), sons; Travis (Jeannine) and Lance (Tammy), six grandchildren; Tyler, Zachary, Brandon, Allyson, Alec and Justin and ten great-grandchildren—all of whom she loved dearly.

You will be missed so much, but knowing you are no longer in pain gives us peace. Every heavenly breath you take will never fade from our hearts. With all our love, your family.

Cremation has taken place and no services are planned at this time.
