Pita G Sanchez

It is with great sadness that the family of Pita G. Sanchez announces her passing after a long illness on Monday, May 13, 2019 at the age of 84. Pita was born in Santa Rosa, New Mexico to Juan Pablo and Andrea Gutierrez of Santa Rosa, New Mexico. Following graduation from Santa Rosa High School Pita worked for Civil Service working in New Mexico and finally settling in Las Vegas, Nevada until retirement. Pita enjoyed the casinos, the Las Vegas shows and entertainment. She was a devout Catholic and parishioner of St.  Bridgit Catholic Church in Las Vegas.  Pita is preceded in death by her parents Juan Pablo and Andrea Gutierrez, three sisters Teresa Duran, Josephine Gutierrez, Antonia Warlick, Delores Salazar and two brothers Jose Gutierrez  and Horacio Gutierrez.  Survivors include her son Michael Sanchez of Las Vegas, Nevada and her daughter Christina Sanchez of Las Vegas, Nevada, a sister Otilia Wisniewski of El Paso, TX along with numerous nieces, nephews other relatives and many friends.  Holy Rosary will be recited at 11:00 am Saturday, August 10, 2019 at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, 439 S. Third Street in Santa Rosa, New Mexico. Interment of cremains will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery. Local arrangements are under the direction of Chavez Funeral Home, 923 S.
