Polly Baca

Apolonia “Polly” Baca, 95, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family on August 2, 2025 in Santa Rosa, NM.

Polly was born April 22, 1930 in Anton Chico, NM to Nabor Aragon Tenorio and Julia (Nelson) Tenorio. She was raised in Anton Chico, where she also attended school—and later graduated from Santa Rosa High School.

Polly was a parishioner at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, she was a homemaker and also had a career as a substitute teacher with the Santa Rosa Consolidated Schools. In her spare time, Polly enjoyed reading and particularly cherished the time she spent with her family.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband: Andy and children: Andrew, Cynthia and Kenny.

Polly is survived by her children: Alfred (Barbara) Baca, Arthur (Anastacia) Baca, Julie (Richard) Delgado and Laura (Aron) Ortega. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren, as well as numerous, family and friends.

Cremation has taken place and services will be held at a later date.
