Ramon F. Aragon

Ramon Francisco Aragon, 48 of Tucumcari, NM, passed away peacefully at Kindred Hospital in Albuquerque, NM on November 8, 2019. Ramon was born on August 9, 1971 in Tularosa, NM to Ramon Aragon and Margaret (Hernandez) Aragon. Ramon was reared in Tucumcari where he graduated high school and later earned his Associates Degree at Mesalands Community College.  He was a correctional officer and a member of the CERT Team at Guadalupe County Correctional Facility in Santa Rosa.  A life-long resident of Tucumcari, Ramon was a U.S. Army Veteran and a parishioner at Saint Anne’s Catholic Church.  Ramon’s hobbies included working on cars, collecting antiques and he was an artist as well.  He also loved the outdoors and enjoyed serving as a hunting guide.  He is fondly remembered as a master of all trades, but more so for the love he had for his family. Ramon is preceded in death by his father; Ramon Aragon, his daughter; Erika Marie Aragon, Maternal grandparents; Alfonso and Otilia (Reyes) Hernandez, Paternal grandparents; Jose P. and Petrita (Mora) Apodaca, Baptismal Godparents; Regino and Juanita Avalos and Confirmation Godfather; Chris Jasper. Ramon is survived by his wife; Lila C. Aragon of Tucumcari, daughters; Brittany Nicole Fields (Cody) of Belgium and Amber R. Wescott (William) of Tucumcari, son; Benjamin C. Aragon of Tucumcari, mother; Margaret Aragon, brother; Joe G. Aragon (Frances) of Tucumcari, sisters; Isabel M. Jones (Richard) of Longmont, Colorado and Amy J. Gutierrez (Steve) of Tucumcari.  He is also survived by his grandchildren; Kyle and Eva Fields and Kioma Aragon, as well as numerous nephews, nieces, family and friends. The family wishes to offer a special recognition to Ernest and Marilu Hernandez. Recitation of the Most Holy Rosary will be Wednesday, November 13, 2019 at 7:00 P.M. at Saint Anne’s Catholic Church in Tucumcari.  The Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, November 14, 2019 at 10:00 A.M. at Saint Anne’s celebrated by Father Sotero Sena.  Pallbearers will be; Isaiah Sandoval, Ezekial Sandoval, Rudy Aragon, Chris Jones, E.J.
