Ramon J Lopez

Ramon J. Lopez, 95 of Santa Rosa, NM passed away Friday, August 30, 2019 at Clovis Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center following an illness. Ramon was born May 08, 1924 in San Ignacio, NM to the home of Francisco and Miquelita (Segura) Lopez. He grew up on the family ranch at San Ignacio. He attended school at San Ignacio. Ramon was a member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Sana Rosa. He is preceded in death by his parents, two brothers; Gregorio Lopez, Sr., and Jose Hipolito Lopez; four sisters Lucinda Lopez, Rita Abeyta, Chon Garcia, and Andrea Chavez. Survivors include one brother Ventura Lopez of Santa Rosa along with several nieces, nephews, other relatives and his longtime caregiver Becky Apodaca. Visitation hours will be Monday, September 2, 2019 from 1pm to 6pm at the funeral home. Holy rosary will be recited at 6:00 pm Monday, September 2, 2019 at the Chavez Funeral Home Chapel in Santa Rosa. The funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 am Tuesday, September 3, 2019 at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Santa Rosa with Father Christopher Bernabe officiating. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery. Pallbearers will include Junior Lopez, Lupe Lopez, Manuel Lopez, Joe Abeyta, Gabriel Lopez, and Randy Lopez.
