Ronald “Ronnie” Dwight Vineyard, 79, of Melrose, New Mexico, passed away on September 20, 2026. Ronnie was born August 9, 1947, in Clovis, New Mexico, to John and Pearl Vineyard. He was raised in the Melrose community.

Ronnie married Kay Lynn Williams in Hereford, Texas on July 29, 1965, and they shared 61 years of marriage.

He is survived by his wife, Kay Vineyard; daughter, Renee Vineyard (Troy Baird); daughter-in-law, Tammy Vineyard; and brother, Dean Vineyard. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Courtney Owusu Appiah, Holly Vineyard, Ty Vineyard (Kaylee), Ashley Rose (Lane), Connor Morgan (Esther), and LW Mercer; his great-grandchildren, Gunnar Morgan, Brenna Morgan, Arielle Rose, Leif Rose, Boone Rose, Pecos Vineyard, Jonah Owusu Appiah, and Annalee Owusu Appiah; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Ronnie was preceded in death by his parents, John and Pearl Vineyard; his son, Kevin Vineyard; his sisters, Shirley Dwyer and Coleta Larry; and his brother, Pat Vineyard.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 24, 2026 at the Melrose Church of Christ. Interment will follow at the Melrose Cemetery.
