Stanley York Jr.

Stanley Coleman York Jr., 48 of Fort Sumner passed away at his home Friday, January 01, 2021 following a sudden illness. Stanley was born March 27, 1972 in Clovis, NM. He is the son of Stanley and Margaret (Riley) York. Stanley attended schools in Amarillo, Texas. Stanley married Grace Hope Jackson on July 4, 2003 in Sudan, Texas. Stanley worked as a route salesman for Unifirst Uniforms, his service area covered Texas, Oklahoma, and Kansas. Stanley and Grace made their home south of Taiban on the F.C. Riley ranch from 2010 until 2018 when they moved into Fort Sumner. Stanley enjoyed listening to music, camping and fishing with his family. Stanley and his family attended First Baptist Church and the Church of Christ while living in Fort Sumner. He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents F.C. and Wanda Riley. Survivors include his wife Grace York, three children Freddie York, James York, and Jacob York all of the family home in Fort Sumner, his parents Stanley and Margaret York of Fort Sumner and two aunts Cathy Dewbre and Becky Melton both of Fort Sumner.
