Tomasita Cordova

Tomasita Cordova, 95 of Logan, NM, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Friday, January 14, 2022. Tomasita was born on March 7, 1926 in Logan, NM to Jacobo Ramirez and Manuelita (Romero) Ramirez. Tomasita was raised in Logan, where she also attended school. Tomasita married Juan Cordova on October 19, 1945, and in Logan they raised their 9 children. Tomasita was a parishioner at San Antonio Catholic Church, where she was also a member of the Carmelita’s Society. Tomasita liked to watch Family Feud and WWE on TV. She loved to dance and listen to Spanish music, play bingo and work on word searches. She was a social butterfly who enjoyed the company of family and friends. Tomasita is preceded in death by her parents, her husband: Juan Cordova on October 14, 1981, her children: Juan Cordova, Jr., Dora Cordova, Victor Cordova and Carmen Garcia, 7 of her grandchildren, 3 brothers and 3 sisters. Tomasita is survived by her brother: Candido (Feliz) Ramirez of Clovis, NM, her sister: Betty Kangas of Clovis, NM, her daughters: Louisa Trujillo of Logan, NM, Kate (Richard) Moore of Logan, NM, her sons: Juanito Cordova of Logan, NM, Henry Cordova of Logan, NM and Lawrence Cordova of Tucumcari, NM. Tomasita is also survived by the granddaughters she raised: Amy (Wallace) Williams of Liberal, Kansas and Tina (Jody Ferguson) McIntyre of Beaver, Oklahoma. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, family, relatives and friends. Visitation will be Friday, January 21, 2022 from 10-11am at San Antonio Catholic Church in Logan, NM. Recitation of the Most Holy Rosary will begin at 11:30am at San Antonio Catholic Church followed a Catholic Funeral Service, officiated by Deacon Raphael Aragon. Tomasita will be laid to rest at Logan Cemetery in Logan, NM, with Jimmy Ramirez, Joe Cordova, Art Cordova, Tommy Cordova, Carlos Cardena and Kevin Morrison serving as Pallbearers. Honorary Pallbearers are: Renee Ramirez, Apolonio Ramirez, Manuel I. Trujillo, Leo Cordova, Julian Cordova, Cody Morrison, Chris Olguin, Wallace Williams, Jody Ferguson and Jason McIntyre.
