Tonya Rene Morgan

Tonya Rene Morgan, 41 of Vaughn, NM, passed away on Wednesday, August 2, 2023 at Rust Presbyterian Medical Center in Rio Rancho, NM.

Tonya was born to Carla Madrid and Leroy Pacheco on December 18, 1981 in Fort Sumner, NM.  Tonya was raised in Vaughn, where she also attended school—graduating from Vaughn High School in 2000.  Tonya was a homemaker and a parishioner at Saint Mary’s Catholic Church in Vaughn.  Tonya enjoyed listening to music and being witty, however her greatest joy came from the time she spent with her family.  Tonya will fondly be remembered by her nickname’s “Sister” and “Ton.”

Tonya is preceded in death by her mother Carla.

Tonya is survived by her children: Nicholas Jacob Madrid of Vaughn, Shania Morgan of Virginia and Anthony Morgan of Roswell, her father: Leroy Pacheco of Vaughn, her sisters: Renessa Madrid of Vaughn and Tamara Aguilar of Big Spring, TX, her niece: Andrah Aguilar of Big Spring, TX and her boyfriend: Ray Garcia of Vaughn, as well as many family and friends.

Visitation for family and friends will be Saturday, August 5, 2023 from 2-6PM at Chavez Funeral Home in Santa Rosa.
