Viola M. Pacheco

It is with great sadness and joy that we announce that our mother, Viola Lopez Pacheco, the love of all her children, grandchildren, and many friends, is now with our Lord in Heaven on August 7, 2022. A loving wife of 66 years, a mother of 11 children and grandmother of 23 grandchildren and 35 great-grandchildren. Viola is preceded in death by her father Henry Lopez, her mother Flora Martinez, her brother William Lopez and her daughter Catherine Martinez. Viola is survived by her husband Domingo Gilbert Pacheco of Tucumcari, Michael Pacheco and his spouse Faye from Calhoun, Georgia, children April Lynn Ulibarri, Alex Acevedo and Angie Dixon, children of Catherine Davina McDaniel and spouse: Michael, of Calhoun, Georgia and Felix Montano from Calhoun, Georgia, Bennie Lopez from Springfield, Missouri, and his daughter Reyne Vandenberg, Richard Pacheco and his spouse Marta from Houston, Texas, children Aja Walden, Kimberly Pacheco, Christopher Pacheco, Joseph Zamora and Michaell Zamora, James Pacheco and his spouse Martha from Tucumcari, New Mexico, children Larissa Anaya, Jane Pacheco, and Loretta Munoz, Larry Pacheco and his spouse Marie from Calhoun, Georgia, and his son Juan Pacheco, Georgia Franco and her spouse George from Calhoun, Georgia, children Tyler Dabbs and Brittany Dabbs, Gilbert Domingo Pacheco and his spouse Beatrize from Bernalillo, New Mexico and their son Diego Pacheco, John Pacheco and his spouse Andrea from Houston, Texas and children John Christopher Pacheco and Andrew Pacheco, Christina Culvey from Calhoun, Georgia and children Kristian Crespin and Samantha Patton, Andrea Felice Pacheco from Calhoun, Georgia, and informally adopted children: Bambam Anthony Kent from Tucumcari New Mexico and Carol Lee McClain from Noble, Oklahoma. Viola is very much loved by all her friends and family and her spirt was always so joyful. She loved all her family unconditionally and truly had a heart of gold. She loved to dance and listen to country music and was especially blessed by having such a great family. She considered her sisters-in-law as sisters and the bond she had with them was truly a great reflection of the love she had for all her family. The joy and happiness that she brought to us will never end, as we all strived to be her number one. When any one joked and said, “hey mom this is your favorite child”, her response was always “yes, you are one of my favorites.” Our mother was always happy, and her tears were always of joy. She would often break down in tears and we would ask her why and her answer was always, these are tears of joy and I can cry if I want to. Recitation of The Most Holy Rosary, followed by the Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, August 13, 2022 at 12:30pm at Saint Anne’s Catholic Church in Tucumcari, NM, with Father John Paul Afuecheta officiating. Interment of cremains will follow at Tucumcari Memorial Park, with J.C. Pacheco, Andrew Pacheco, Christopher Pacheco, Feliciano Montano, Tyler Dabbs and Juan Pacheco serving as Urn Bearers. Honorary bearers will be Donavan McDaniels, Jordan Smith, Raiden Sexton, and John Pacheco III. Services are under the direction of Chavez Funeral Home, 923 S.
